Serving drinks out of empty jam jars is very popular at the moment (no Summer wedding is complete without jam jar cocktails!)
Not only do they look cute and cheerful, but they’re surprisingly practical too.
With no added cost and the knowledge that you are doing your part to upcycle an item that would normally get recycled. Or perish the thought end up in landfill!
Serve with a retro umbrella and tie some ribbon around the neck for added kitsch.
Some tips for preparing your empty jars
Before you get started, you’ll want to clean and sterilise your empty jars. Either stick them in the dishwasher or dunk them in a bowl of hot, soapy water for a few hours. This will help get rid of any sticky labels too.
Now your empty jars are all prepped and ready to go, it’s time to get to the fun part – upcycling them into something new!
