It's not easy being green...
Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, there was a man named Tim, who made the most delicious apple sauce in all the land.
In fact, he was called Tim The Apple Sauce Guy!
His sauce was made from 100% organic apples and was the pride and joy of his small business.
However, Tim had a dilemma – he needed to find a more environmentally friendly way to package his sauce so the jars didn’t get broken in shippingnt.
After much research and consideration, Tim decided to use packing peanuts made from corn starch.
These peanuts are biodegradable and would not harm the environment.
Tim was excited to use this new packaging and proudly placed a large sack of the peanuts in an outbuilding on his property.
But alas, it was not meant to be.
Tim soon discovered that mice had a real taste for corn!
They found the sack of packing peanuts and like Christmas had come early feasted upon them.
The peanuts had disappeared, leaving only a trail of crumbs and an empty hessian sack behind.
Tim was dismayed! It’s not easy being green…
He had wanted to do the right thing for the environment, but it seemed that even his best intentions were not enough.
It was not easy being green, just like Kermit the frog had said.
But Tim refused to give up. He knew that there had to be a solution, and he was determined to find it.
He researched and experimented until he finally found a way to make the packing peanuts mouse-proof.
And thus, Tim’s apple sauce business became even more eco-friendly, and the mice were able to survive without the added benefit of corn starch in their diet.
In the end, Tim learned an important lesson – being environmentally friendly is not always easy, but it is worth the effort.
And just like Kermit the frog, he realized that it is important to keep trying, no matter how difficult it may seem.
